ECOAT16 PROGRAM ANNOUNCED

The Electrocoat Association and Products Finishing magazine have announced the program for the ECOAT16 Conference. The event will be held at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, FL, from February 15 through 17. The conference supports the expansion of electrocoat technology through the education of finishing industry personnel and those interested in the technology, both as a coating application and also a primer of choice for many other topcoat finishes.

Each morning of the program will begin with keynote addresses.  Tim Weingartz, Ford Global Paint Engineering, will launch the conference on Tuesday, February 16, with a presentation on Ford’s introduction of the 100 percent aluminum F-150 Pickup. Gary Vasilash, Editor-in-Chief of Automotive Design and Production magazine, will kick off Wednesday, February 17, addressing the automotive industry's impending manufacturing transformation and why it's so critical.

Each keynote will be followed by moderated, interactive panel discussions before breaking for lunch.  Panel topics include Operating Costs, Troubleshooting, and Preventative Maintenance.

Afternoons will consist of a series of Learning Stations (formerly known as workshops).  Two concurrent topics each day will be offered, with four 25-minute presentations comprising each topic.  Tuesday’s topics are Cleaning and New Trends; Wednesday’s will focus on Ancillary Process and Ecoat Methodologies.

Additional events include a Welcome Reception at the Rosen Centre’s poolside pavilion, an Industry Awards Banquet to honor the industry’s elite, networking refreshment breaks and Day 2 lunch. The exhibit hospitality time, newly dubbed A Night at the Exhibits, will offer attendees direct access to suppliers of equipment, chemicals, paint, and finishing applications in a casual, entertaining environment.

Registered attendees receive access to all programming and events, a conference journal/directory, and sponsored swag.   Presentations will be available online prior to and after the conference for paid attendees.
