YachtAkzoNobel says creating a more sustainable yacht industry and helping to protect the world’s oceans are the main goals driving a new partnership between its Yacht Coatings business and the Water Revolution Foundation.

“We have a natural connection with the Water Revolution Foundation and share the same goals, in that we both want to create a more eco-conscious and more sustainable yacht industry,” says Jean-Michel Gauthier, Director of AkzoNobel’s Marine and Protective Coatings business. “We pride ourselves on our sustainable products and, by teaming up with the Foundation, we are committed to conserving our oceans. We look forward to working closely together and are excited about what we can both achieve.”

Adds Robert van Tol, Executive Director at the Water Revolution Foundation: “AkzoNobel has shown its leadership in sustainability for many years and we are united in our passion and ambitions to build a more environmentally-friendly sector.

“We’re pleased to welcome them on board as an official partner and we very much look forward to working together to drive and accelerate change in the superyacht industry.”

AkzoNobel will specifically share knowledge gained through developing primers, fillers, topcoats, and underwater hull coatings supplied through its International and Awlgrip ranges.
