Paul N. Gardner USA – worldwide distributors, producers, and designers of physical and inspection instruments for the paint, coatings, and related industries recently introduced a new physical test depth gauge for measuring the thickness of open and closed cell foam.

This gauge allows commercial roofing contractors and spray polyurethane applicators to test the depth of the foam quickly and easily while being applied on a roof substrate.  They are also designed for measuring the depth of fireproofing (SFRM - spray fire resistive material) to ensure consistent depth from one area to another.

Constructed of sturdy plastic and weighing only one pound, this gauge can read depths up to 5 ¾-inches.  It has an easily adjustable stainless-steel pin and easy to read numbers.
