At the fifth biennial CASF Golf Tournament, held at the Deer Creek Golf Club in Ajax, Ont., the Canadian Association for Surface Finishing (CASF) presented the 2023 Industry Leadership Award to Mike Kuntz, executive vice-president of Kuntz Electroplating Inc.

With the dedication of Kuntz and Richard Thibodeau of Peerless Custom Rack, they revitalised CASF over a decade ago and were drivers in its success and importance as the voice of the industry, according to the association. And the decision of who would receive this year’s award was an easy one for the CASF board of directors.

“Mike knows the importance of stepping up for his colleagues, and this well-deserved acknowledgement by those who worked closely with him to represent our industry as a sector of importance within the Canadian economy was something the board wanted to present in person,” said the association.
